Here's to our friends at Sun King Brewing and the Indiana Pacers for expanding their partnership to deliver a new beer for the start of the Pacers and NBA season.
Anthony Schoetle reports on the details of Sun King's Tip-Off Ale complete with a killer can design which incorporates basketball and the Pacers color scheme.
Tip-Off came about through conversations between Sun King and Pacers officials earlier this year.
"We've been a sponsor of the Pacers for four years and we've made beers in association with other teams and organizations and thought with the rich basketball heritage here, it would be a perfect match," said Sun King spokeswoman Elizabeth Belange. "Sun King's five co-owners are really big sports fans, and this is something they really wanted to do."
Fans will be able to buy Tip-Off Ale at the Fieldhouse along with finding it at Sun King's downtown brewery and the Sunk King Tap Room and Small-Batch Brewery in Fishers.
The Pacers and Sun King will also team up for an opening night party from 5-7 p.m. on the east end of George Street outside the Fieldhouse on Thursday night.
Check out these cans! I think the logo demands a t-shirt.
