Pacers vs. Bulls: Preseason game thread, lineups and more

New, comments

The Pacers play their penultimate preseason game on Tuesday night while continuing to prepare for the season-opener next week.

David Banks-USA TODAY Sports

The Pacers visit the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night which should make for an interesting environment at the United Center considering all eyes in the Windy City will be on the North Side at Wrigley Field where the Cubs will play the Mets in the NLCS.

The Pacers will be worth watching tonight as they start a traditional lineup with a real live power forward (Lavoy Allen) as opposed the the power fauxward lineup they've used in the prior five preseason games. The look will be worth watching if the Bulls let Pau Gasol play. On Monday, Gasol sat out Chicago's loss to the Charlotte Hornets. Managing the minutes for a preseason back-to-back makes sense, so hopefully Gasol will be ready to go after staying home on Monday.

The Pacers should have all available except for power forward Jordan Hill who will rest his back. Solomon Hill has been cleared to play, but just where he fits in (or out) of the Pacers rotation remains to be seen. Glenn Robinson III has taken advantage of wing minutes and Chase Budinger continues trying to find his way, but the opportunity remains for Solo if he can seize it.
