Pacers FanJam, #TouchdownPacers set for third weekend in October

The Pacers have a weekend of fun planned for fans as they transition to the field for #TouchdownPacers on Friday, October 16, before returning to Bankers Life Fieldhouse for their annual FanJam on Sunday, October 18.

For the second consecutive year the Pacers roster, along with the Pacemates, Boom Babies, and Boomer, will be opting to swap the hardwood for the gridiron as they split up and attend five area football games on Friday, October 16, as part of an event coined by the team as #TouchdownPacers.

Here is a list of the games the Pacers will be attending this go-around:

Whiteland (5A) at Greenwood (4A)

North Central (6A) at Ben Davis (6A)

Zionsville (5A) at Fishers (6A)

Northwest (3A) at Heritage Christian (2A)

Hamilton Southeastern (6A) vs. Brownsburg (6A) at Victory Field

In a bit of a role reversal, the Pacers will have the opportunity to be the fans of Central Indiana high school football players on what will be the last night of the regular season for these teams as they gear up for the IHSAA state tournament. In addition to catching a local game beneath the Friday night lights, members of the Blue & Gold will be participating in the coin toss, handing out giveaways, and manning the Pacers prize table. Last year, the Pacers made sure to sign plenty of autographs and pose for numerous pictures with fans before the night was over.

After spending a Friday away from Bankers Life Fieldhouse, the team's community outreach initiative will continue on Sunday, October 18, when the Pacers FanJam, presented by CNO Financial Group, takes place at 2:00 p.m.

The schedule for the free event is as follows:

2:00 - 3:00pm: Autograph session with Pacemates, Boomer, Pacers personalities and alumni players

3:00pm: Pacers team scrimmage, performance by the Pacemates, Dunk Show by Boomer

4:00pm: Player autographs

The scrimmage will give fans another opportunity to get a closer look at all of the team's new faces ahead of the start of the regular season. While the opportunity to watch actual basketball is nice, the highlight of last year's event was probably watching, then rookie, Damjan Rudez sing Iggy Azalea's "Fancy" in front of all the fans in attendance. What the team's veterans have in store for Myles Turner, Joe Young, and Rakeem Christmas this year remains to be seen.
