The Indiana Pacers nearly had a déjà vu moment against the Utah Jazz, with poor closes to the second and third quarters diminishing a strong first quarter, as Indiana watched another double digit lead dwindle in the fourth quarter. Utah stormed back in the final minute, closing the game to within a point, but Indiana's free throw shooting proved a rare advantage (28-30 on the night).
Roy Hibbert had another big night against the Jazz, scoring 22 points and grabbing eight rebounds, both team highs. Luis Scola had sharp night, shooting 7-9 for 16 points. Derrick Favors led the Jazz with 25 points and 11 rebounds, getting 23 points from Gordon Hayward.
