The Pacers had their chances to put away the Lakers and instead let them back in the game.
Kobe Bryant was due for some late-game heroicsand the Pacers felt the brunt of those odds with no answer at the other end. Bryant scored the Lakers' final nine points of the game including what would be the game-winner with 12.4 seconds to play.
The Pacers' final two possessions ended in a contested three-point attempt from David West and a far-less than poor, desperation heave from Roy Hibbert at the buzzer. C.J. Miles appeared to be option one on both plays but was unable to free up for a shot attempt. So...
Poof! The W was gone and now the Pacers are in Utah to face the Jazz on Monday night.
