Kobe Bryant scored the final nine points for the Los Angeles Lakers, helping to lift them to a late victory as the Indiana Pacers came up short on their final two possessions. The Pacers led most of the way, but despite a 28-15 first quarter lead, allowed the Lakers to hang around thanks to a healthy free throw advantage, including a 12-12 night from Nick Young, who led the Lakers with 22.

The Pacers lost the final three quarters, missing 18 straight three pointers and committing 16 turnovers, shooting 36.7% on the night. Indiana was just a little too sloppy and a little too unfocused tonight to hold on late, especially with Bryant working his way to the free throw line at will late. C.J. Miles led the Pacers with 19 points with Donald Sloan pitching in 16.
