The main take aways from the Pacers Media Day event were stark in contrast.
To begin, PG easing his way across the floor on his own provided a ray of hope for the future. During an online interview with Mark Boyle and Chris Denari, PG even talked about hoping to return to action this year, saying he told the team they need to make the playoffs to give him a better chance to play at the end of the year.
If you need a reality check, just check in with David West. As he put it, the team has to figure out how they are going to compete for wins without Lance Stephenson and Paul George and he has no idea how that will happen.
After suffering under the spotlight of successs last season, Roy Hibbert and George Hill will stay quiet and let others outside the team do the talking. We'll see how long that lasts, but it sounds like the post-game locker room will be far more boring this year.
Here's a shot of Paul George walking up to join his teammates from @JasonSpells.
