Pacers FanJam set for Oct. 5

The annual family-fun fan event at Bankers Life Fieldhouse will include a team scrimmage.

The Indiana Pacers announced plans for their annual Fan Jam event at Bankers Life Fieldhouse which is a fantastic milestone to remind us the NBA season is coming into view.

The free event is slated for Sunday, Oct. 5 from 4-7 p.m. which is perfectly timed following a 1 p.m. Colts game at Lucas Oil Stadium earlier in the day. The first hour will include family events and giveaways for fans along with autograph sessions with former Pacers, Pacemates and Boomer.

As a bonus this year, the team will be introduced around 5 p.m. followed by a scrimmage. There have been years where the most action out of the players came in a Simon Says game. That was fun and entertaining on some level, but for basketball-hungry fans, just seeing a little action on the court hits the spot.

The scrimmage will likely be closer to all-star game intensity, as opposed top playoff intensity, but getting a glimpse of some of the new faces running up and down the court will be nice.

After the on-court action, the players will spread out around BLF for autographs. Check out Pacers.com/FanJam for all of the details.
