Croatia improved to 2-0 in Group B play at the 2014 FIBA World Cup with a strong win over a veteran Argentina team lead by Pacers forward Luis Scola.
After scoring 20 points and grabbing nine rebounds in Argentina's opening game win over Pureto Rico, Scola appeared to be in mid-season form again for his home country, with 30 points and nine rebounds against Croatia. Well, maybe not mid-season form from last year, but his international game is certainly in prime shape.
Scola's new teammate, Damjan Rudez enjoyed the big win for Croatia with six points off the bench as a balanced attack with another NBA player, Nets rookie Bojan Bogdanovic playing big minutes and scoring 16 points, as one of five Croatian players in double figures. Here's the full box score.
Play continues on Monday when Croatia plays Senegal at 6:30 a.m. ET while Argentina plays the Philippines at 11:30 a.m. ET. Here are some highlights of from the game.
