Goran Dragic claims Suns decline trade of Roy Hibbert and Chris Copeland

According to a translated interview from a Slovenian sports outlet, the Pacers offer of their All-Star big man and change was turned down.

Phoenix Suns guard, Goran Dragic commented on a his status with the Suns in a Slovenian interview in which he claimed the Suns turned down a trade offer from the Pacers which included Roy Hibbert, Chris Copeland and some cash.

Bright Side of the Sun translated the interview with the key information on the trade that would need a few other moving parts to work in the first place, but certainly isn't from an anonymous source.

Bright Side's own Jogi translated most of the video for us and decided that it seems to be a new offer made after Paul George's injury.

"Indiana offered Roy Hibbert , Chris Copeland and some cash," Dragic told the reporter from Ekipa. "But according to my sources, the Suns rejected the offer." --Ekipa

Jogi says he recalls another report out of Slovenia that Dragic actually got on the phone with the Suns front office when hearing about the offer through the media.

Earlier in the summer, reports of the Pacers interest in Dragic surfaced which this certainly confirms. The summer is not over, though and the Suns appear to be setting a market for their dynamic guard who absolutely lit up the Pacers in two regular season games last season.

This is also a strong indication that the Pacers aren't standing pat as they prepare to head into next season without Paul George.
