The Summer Pacers take on the Summer Celtics on Monday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. ET with the action airing on NBA TV.
Pacers' summer coach, Dan Burke spoke with Greg Rakestraw on 1070 The Fan this morning with his thoughts on what was going on in Orlando. After mentioning they had to send Lavoy Allen home from Indy and then lost Solomon Hill, leaving Donald Sloan as the lone player from the regular roster, it sure didn't sound like he expected Hill to play in the Orlando games.
After Saturday's miserable outing, Burke is turning on the motivation and fun for the players, most of whom are D-League veterans. Even Sloan has played the bulk of his career in the D.
The D-League sends a select team to the Las Vegas Summer League, so Burke is now referring to his squad as the D-League Select East team. He's motivating his guys by reminding them that every NBA player they go up against is a guy holding a spot they desire in the league.
For the Celtics, that includes Kelly Olynyk and rookie guards Marcus Smart and James Young.
Please share your thoughts on the game in the comments which include any and all of the NBA offseason news and rumors floating around this Friday.
