Roy Hibbert, Robert Mathis team up again for charity softball challenge

A pair of big sports stars in Indy will team up for the sixth annual Carline Symmes Memorial Softball Challenge on Thursday evening at Victory Field.

One protects the rim in the NBA and the other destroys quarterbacks in the NFL, but on Thursday Pacers center Roy Hibbert and Colts defensive end Robert Mathis will work together for charity when they host the sixth annual Caroline Symmes Memorial Softball Challenge.

Mathis is frequently seen on the baseline in a No. 55 jersey at the Fieldhouse for all of the big Pacers games, even adding his theatrics to encourage an out of bounds call against Dwyane Wade (his heel never touched OB) during the Pacers final regular season home game against the Heat this year.

The event is presented by the Tony Stewart Foundation and benefits the Indiana Children's Wish Fund and includes other local sports stars, while they broaden the definition of celebrity to also include many local media personalities.

Any night at Victory Field is a good night and this one will be even more special Pacers fans looking to have a fun summer night while helping out the Children's Wish Fund. Here is the info on tickets to the event.
