The Indiana Pacers try to even up the Eastern Conference semifinals when they host the Washington Wizards in Game 2 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Wednesday night.
The Pacers will also try to make sure this isn't the final game at BLF this season. To do so, the simplest remedy for the Blue and Gold is to play better. Forget the Hoosier hospitality and make the Wizards a little more uncomfortable on the floor. The Wiz were so comfy in Game 1, they shot the ball like they were at home in the driveway.
A good first step to improve on Game 1 is to account for Trevor Ariza and/or Bradley Beal when the Wiz are in transition. Those trailer threes off the secondary break were a back-breaker on Monday night. Stout defense from the Pacers usually lifts their effort and effectiveness at both ends of the floor.
The Pacers will fare well in a long series, but those hopes hinge on locking up a home win in Game 2.
