Wizards vs. Pacers, Game 1: Game thread, lineups, TV info and more

The Eastern Conference semifinals tip off at Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Monday night. The Pacers won the season series 2-1 with both wins at home, although the playoffs are a different beast and both teams are in a different state than they were in their last meeting at BLF.

The Indiana Pacers and Washington Wizards meet for the first time since the Wiz flat out embarrassed the Pacers back in D.C. in a late-March, regular season game. It was one of multiple "rock bottom" moments the Pacers displayed toward the end of the season which continues to make any predictions about how the blue and gold will come out in Game 1 of the ECF semis, complete madness.

Beating the Hawks in round one did little to add any confidence other than they the Pacers came up big when they desperately needed to win the series. While the Wiz present a more traditional matchup, they present plenty of problems when they get rolling.

John Wall and Bradley Beal led the Wizards in scoring this season, but they are in the midst of their first post-season run which is a different animal as the rounds progress. Veteran experience with Nene, Trevor Ariza and Andre Miller should help the Wiz while Wall and Beal adjust to the intensity they should expect to face from the Pacers.

Right? Playoff intensity? Remember those good times in playoffs past, Pacers? Gonna need it in heavy doses to get an advantage over the Wiz. Should be quite an interesting series.
