NBA Playoffs final score: Wizards destroy Pacers 102-79

The Pacers got destroyed on the glass in a blowout Game 5 loss at home as the series sits at 3-2 heading back to Washington. Marcin Gortat had 31 and John Wall had 27 to lead Washington to the victory.

The Indiana Pacers made no effort to dispatch of the Washington Wizards in Game 5, getting blown out at home , allowing the Wizards to extend the series back to Washington for a Game 6. The story of the game was not only Marcin Gortat and John Wall having career nights, but the Wizards dismantling Indiana on the boards. The Wizards outrebounded Indiana 62-23, controlling the glass and controlling the flow of the game.

Washington had 18 offensive rebounds, shooting 50% on the game. Indiana shot just 39%, getting consistently poor effort from everyone. Gortat led Washington with 31 points and 16 rebounds on 13-15 shooting, getting plenty of help from Wall, who had 27, breaking out of his struggles with an 11-20 night with three threes. David West led the Pacers with 17 points, leading the team with just six rebounds.

The series extends back to Washington for Game 6 in Washington on Thursday.
