The Indiana Pacers held a nine point lead halfway through the third quarter, but a costly fourth foul on Paul George sent him to the bench as Jeff Teague scored 12 third quarter points, guiding the Hawks back to take a 67-64 lead into the fourth. Indiana used a 6-0 run in the final two minutes to take an 85-84 lead, pushing it to 87-85 on a big shot by David West. The huge plays for the Pacers continued down the stretch with defensive stands and big free throws as Indiana forces Game 7.

David West led the way with 24 points and 11 rebounds, with six assists. Paul George also had 24 points, hitting nine of his 10 free throw attempts. Lance Stephenson also had a 20-point game, scoring 21 with nine rebounds. Jeff Teague nearly stole Indiana's season, scoring a playoff career high 29 points for Atlanta.
