The Indiana Pacers look to complete a back-to-back sweep and win their fifth consecutive game when they host the Utah Jazz on Sunday evening. The nasty weather has fizzled enough to keep the game on, with both teams in town ready to play, but keep an eye on the Pacers weather advisory if heading down to the Fieldhouse.
George Hill will be a game-time decision again for the Pacers after missing the win over Boston with a shoulder strain. The Pacers would surely love to get by the Jazz tonight and continue to rest Hill with the schedule intensity continuing to ramp up later in the week.
Last night, Frank Vogel showed he would go with the hot hand down the stretch when trying to fill Hill's spot in the lineup by using Evan Turner to initiate the offense down the stretch. With Turner, C.J. Watson and Lance Stephenson, Vogel has options to mix and match, although they remain in the experimental mode when E.T. is in the mix.
The Jazz went through a 5-3 stretch with a strong offensive showing before hitting the road for a six-game trip against Eastern Conference foes. In their first game on Friday, Utah hit an icy patch in Cleveland, scoring just 79 points in a 20-point loss. With a day off to digest the loss after a short trip to Indy, the Jazz should be ready to get their offense back on track.
