The Indiana Pacers are 4-0 since the trade for Evan Turner and Lavoy Allen and 3-0 with Turner in the playing rotation.
Now, none of the four wins will be on display in the Fieldhouse pavilion as memorable franchise moments. Once again in Boston last night, the Pacers put it together for a few impressive bursts at various points in the game to earn their 45th win by getting by the 20-win Celtics.
Turner had a big hand in the win, as well as keeping it close. With 17 points off the bench, Turner eclipsed Danny Granger's season high of 16 points. Since he was in attack mode late, Frank Vogel left him in the game to close out at point guard, instead of having C.J. Watson finish off the game for the injured George Hill.
Turner had mixed results, but his teammates with chilled blood at crunch time came through. Namely, Paul George who scored eight points in the final five minutes including a C's soul crushing three-ball off a time out with just over a minute to play.
The Pacers remain a work in progress as they try to rework their playing rotation for the playoffs. They will have another opportunity tonight when they host the Utah Jazz.
