The Indiana Pacers made their 50th win of the season a difficult one, holding off the Philadelphia 76ers late for a close win. The Pacers stumbled out of the gate, falling behind by nine in the first quarter and spending most of the first half playing catch up before closing strong to take an eight point halftime lead. The Pacers shot 50% in the first half, but cooled off big time in the second half as the 76ers fought back to take a 63-62 lead.
Indiana closed the third quarter strong, but allowed the Sixers to climb back in the game in the fourth quarter, before George Hill hit a key corner three to double a three point lead as the Pacers would go on to wrap up the victory over Philadelphia, who loses their 21st straight. The Pacers shot 38.3% on the night. Lance Stephenson had 19 first half points, but struggled in the second half, finishing with 25. Paul George had 24 points, getting to the line 16 times and throwing down a monster jam on Henry Sims. The bench played well with 24 points, led by Ian Mahinmi who had 10 in his return to action.
