The Pacers had two days off to practice in Indy which had to feel good for Frank Vogel, giving the coaching staff some actual time to work through any issues and sharpen some dull edges on the practice court.
With six games over the next eight days, dedicated practice time will be limited at best. The first of those six games tips off on Friday night in Philadelphia against the 76ers. The Pacers will be short-handed without Andrew Bynum along with little expectation that C.J. Watson and Ian Mahinmi will be available.
Philly is trending toward a historically bad losing streak, so tapping into the Pacers' depth shouldn't be an issue. Plus, Lavoy Allen sliding into the reserve big man minutes will work well as he is obviously rested and should be more than ready to face his former team.
Winning is one thing, but playing well is another, and the Pacers need to focus on both factors over the next week, starting in Philly.
