Halftime score: Pacers lead Celtics 49-40

The Indiana Pacers got a huge lift from their bench in the first half, using 23 first half points to help the Pacers to a 49-40 halftime lead over the Boston Celtics. Luis Scola had nine on 4-5 shooting and Evan Turner turned in a solid seven point half with three assists as Indiana shot 53.8%, while holding Boston to just 34.9%. Andrew Bynum made his debut and was fantastic in his first minutes with the Pacers, coming away with four points, eight rebounds, and an assist.

The bench play helped out the starters, who were hampered with foul troubles. Paul George played just nine minutes, picking up two offensive fouls as part of his three. Roy Hibbert also has three. Both have just two points each. George Hill leads the Pacers with 12 points, including two three pointers, and David West has 10, despite two fouls and some frustration that led to a technical. Kris Humphries leads Boston with 10.
