The Indiana Pacers host the Portland Trail Blazers in an effort to even the season series between the two teams.
The Blazers drew first blood in early December with an impressive effort to beat the Pacers 106-102. Yes, it was on a back-to-back for the Pacers, but the blue and gold was on point and the Blazers matched the level of effort and execution and then some.
Portland took what the Pacers' defense was giving them, namely the midrange jumper, and ran with it. LaMarcus Aldridge made shot after contested shot from 18-20 feet. The Blazers seemed to have things put away early but then Paul George happened, delivering a next-level outburst to finish with 43 points.
As losses go, it was fun.
Tonight the Pacers will be without Lance Stephenson as he continues recovering from his tumble in Atlanta earlier in the week. That bumps Danny Granger into the starting lineup. For Portland, Mo Williams will miss the game due to family issues. Williams gave the Blazers 13 points off the bench in the first game.
