The Indiana Pacers host the Orlando Magic on Monday night at the Fieldhouse for the first time since the two teams tipped off the regular season at the Fieldhouse in late October.
In the opener, Paul George tipped off his All-Star campaign with 24 points to lead the Pacers to a 10-point win. Not much applies from that first meeting as the teams have traveled alternate paths. The Pacers currently have the best record in the NBA while the Magic have the second-worst record and showing no signs of stressing about their solid lottery position.
Jameer Nelson tweaked his knee last Friday and stayed in Orlando for the team's current road trip which included a loss in Boston on Super Bowl afternoon. With Nelson out, the Magic will start a backcourt that matches up with the Pacers by using Victor Oladipo as a combo guard at point guard a la George Hill along with Arron Afflalo to match up against fellow All-Star snubbee Lance Stephenson.
As usual, if the Pacers can take care of the ball and take care of owning the interior at both ends of the floor, they should add another W by the end of the night.
