The Indiana Pacers got a huge lift from the return of George Hill, who scored 15 points on 5-8 shooting in his season debut. The Pacers moved ahead of the New Orleans Pelicans when Hill entered the game, allowing the Pacers to force their will defensively en route to their second straight win. The Pacers shot 50% for the second straight game, holding New Orleans to 39.8%, including 4-20 from three point range.
Six Pacers reached double figures, led by Hill, but including solid nights from Roy Hibbert and David West. Hibbert had seven first half blocks and scored nine second half points as part of 14 on the night, while West continued to find a shot at 13 points on 6-8 shooting. Solomon Hill shot well at 6-11 for 13 points and C.J. Miles pitched in 11 points off the bench. Indiana kept Anthony Davis mostly in check throughout the night, holding him to an inefficient 21 points and eight rebounds.
