There is some good news to report with regard to George Hill's status with the Pacers, as Frank Vogel said the team's point guard would come off the bench for the Pacers on Tuesday night when they face the New Orleans Pelicans.
The Pacers have another challenge on their hands when they host Anthony Davis and the Pelicans, who have tons of young talent trying to find their way in the difficult Western Conference. So far the 'Cans are a game over .500 and should be a factor in the playoff race the rest of the season.
Oddly, the Pacers are still in the playoff race in the Eastern Conference despite being 10 games under .500. It appears Vogel will bring Hill along slowly with light minutes initially to build up his game shape since there is little to do to compare to NBA game action. As long as the knee/quad are ready to roll, getting that first game action out of the way is the next big step and the timing is perfect with a couple of days off after playing tonight before returning to action in Detroit on Friday.
