The Pacers hope the third time is the charm as they complete their three-game road trip against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday evening. The Pacers took their first two games down to the wire in L.A. and Denver but came up empty in both at the final buzzer.
Point guard C.J. Watson missed the game on Saturday with a sinus infection. If the extra day of rest didn't do the trick, Donald Sloan will start at point guard. Also, according to Candace Buckner, Rodney Stuckey is dealing with a headache issue which will hopefully be resolved after leaving Denver. Needless to say, the Pacers could use a bit more than a goose egg in the scoring column from Roy Hibbert, as well.
The Timberwolves are in the midst of change and yet another full-blown youth movement as their starting lineup is filled with first- and second-year players with loads of talent to embarrass a defender but not a whole lot of NBA know-how to actually win games.
