Though the final score looked like a familiar sight for an Indiana Pacers and Phoenix Suns game, the Pacers actually gave the Suns plenty of fight through the first three quarters. But the familiar theme throughout the night was how easy it was for Phoenix's offense to undo all of the hard work for Indiana's. Indiana led 56-47 late in the first half, but a lightning quick 7-0 Suns run drew Phoenix to within two at the break, with Phoenix breaking through in the third.
Indiana closed Phoenix's lead to four points at the end of the third, but a 33-20 fourth quarter would allow Phoenix to cruise to a 116-99 victory. The Pacers shot relatively well tonight at 48.2%, but couldn't keep Phoenix under 50%, led by Goran Dragic, who had a season high 34. The Suns had 38 fast break points, making 12 three pointers to Indiana's four, dropping Indiana to 7-11, and 0-2 on their current road trip.
