The Pacers enjoy their third day off at home today before playing their only mid-week game on Wednesday when they host the Charlotte Hornets.
One game in five days brings with it some time for the short-handed Pacers to catch their breath while also getting in some valuable practice time as their current make-shift lineup continues figuring things out. It also allows a chance to work in Rodney Stuckey and C.J. Miles who may be ready to join the fray once again on Wednesday.
If so, that means David West (ankle), George Hill (knee) and C.J. Watson (foot) will remain out a few more games since the Pacers were able to earn a hardship exception to keep A.J. Price around.
Needless to say, Wednesday should be interesting with Lance Stephenson making his first trip back to the Fieldhouse with the struggling Hornets. Charlotte didn't fare well on a recent West Coast roadie and have lost four of their last five games heading into their matchup with the Pacers. Hmm, sounds similar to how the Nuggets arrived at the Fieldhouse.
Wednesday is also November 19th which will mark the 10-year anniversary of the Brawl in Detroit that set the Pacers back several years. Fortunately, the impact of that regretable night is out of sight in the rearview mirror, but the date on the calendar will always bring it back to the surface.
Fortunately, with Lance blowing into town for a game, the Pistons won't be the top story on Wednesday.
