The Phoenix Suns ran over the Pacers last week on the road which should make for an interesting and entertaining rematch on Thursday night at the Fieldhouse.
In Phoenix, former Pacers Gerald Green and Miles Plumlee played fantastic, Goran Dragic was a revelation and P.J. Tucker made life difficult on Paul George. The whole effort by the Suns was quite impressive and at times appeared to catch the Pacers off guard.
There won't be any surprises tonight and the Suns arrive for the second game of a back-to-back after beating Milwaukee last night. Dragic scored 30 points in less than 25 minutes but also injured his elbow. X-rays were negative but the Pacers might catch a break if the Suns' point guard is less than 100 percent.
Dragic will learn his fate as an All-Star reserve tonight along with a few Pacers waiting to see how the coaches selected the reserve players for each conference. Roy Hibbert seems to be a lock, but Lance Stephenson remains on the bubble despite is strong play of late. With DeMar DeRozan and John Wall delivering the goods as the top dogs on their respective teams, the back court numbers game may keep Stephenson off the roster.
TNT will reveal the All-Star rosters around the time things are tipping off at the Fieldhouse. I'm sure the TNT folks are real happy they have the Knicks and Cavs tonight instead of the Pacers and Suns.
