The Pacers won't be too excited to return to the bitter cold weather in Indy today, but I'm sure they'll be happy to see those friendly hoops at the Fieldhouse.
The Pacers struggled shooting the ball from all over at Staples Center last night before eventually warming up enough to score over 100 points, put away the Lakers and finish up the road trip with a solid win. At one point early in the third quarter the Pacers' FG percentage was below 40%, their 3PT percentage was below 20% and their FT percentage was below 50%.
Aside from free throws, the Lakers shooting was even worse, so the Pacers benefited from a strong defensive effort, limiting their fouls and turnovers. The Pacers are now 12-1 when Lance Stephenson delivers a double-double which he did in L.A. for the third consecutive game and fifth time in the last six games. Stephenson is certainly doing his part to make a case for the All-Star game.
Speaking of the All-Star game, the reserve players which should include Roy Hibbert and hopefully at least one more Pacer, will be announced on TNT around 7pm ET on Thursday, so hopefully Michael Grady will have an announcement to make at the Fieldhouse during the first time out.
