Halftime score: Kings lead Pacers 60-50

Things started off well enough for the Indiana Pacers jumping ahead 13-7, but they had no answer for Marcus Thornton, who scored 22 of his 26 first half points in the first quarter, as the Sacramento Kings exploded offensively en route to 37 first quarter points, at one point hitting 11 of 12 field goals. The Kings took an 11-point lead into the second quarter, pushing it up to 16 before Indiana was able to trim the lead back to down 10.

The Pacers have been woeful defensively, but a greater effort to close the first half has allowed them to trim the lead to 10. Thornton has 26 to lead the Kings, but Isaiah Thomas has done plenty of damage on his short floater as he has scored 13. Lance Stephenson leads the Pacers with 15 despite some awful play early in the second quarter. Paul George has 11 and David West has eight despite some first quarter foul trouble. With Indiana closing a wide rebounding gap, the real difference is at the three point line, where Indiana is just 2-7, while the Kings are 7-14.
