Believe it or not, Danny Granger isn't the only storyline of note at Pacers training camp. In fact there are quite a few in need of attention with so many new faces that expect to carve out time in the playing rotation.

One new face that is just looking for a roster spot is Hilton Armstrong. The 6'11 Armstrong played five years in the NBA after being drafted by New Orleans and then spent the past two seasons playing in Europe and the D-League. He was a late addition to camp but could be a viable option with enough size to provide emergency big man depth.

On Media Day, Larry Bird said Armstrong spent the week prior to camp working out with the Pacers and they liked what they saw when matched up against Roy Hibbert so a camp spot followed.

Armstrong played sparingly during his NBA career, the highlight being the 2008-09 season when he started 29 games for the then Hornets. Still, in his best season he averaged under 16 minutes a game, scoring just shy of five points with three rebounds per game.

He does have legit size and at 28 years old also brings a veteran game that should fit in with the current Pacers roster. With 13 players under contract for the upcoming season, the Pacers have two roster spots remaining although they will likely leave one spot open unless otherwise blown away by two camp invitees.

Rasual Butler and Darnell Jackson are other front-court players in camp, but Armstrong is the only one with the size to play both center and power forward.
