Former Butlers coach Brad Stevens should have an interesting morning in Orlando as he watches his Celtics take on his hometown team. Granted the Summer Pacers and Summer C's is far from the big stage of the NBA, but seeing that logo and some familiar coaching faces on the other side should make for a nice moment for Stevens.
The Pacers and Celtics tip off at 11 a.m. ET in the Orlando Pro Summer League which is televised on NBA TV. Yesterday the Pacers shot the lights out as Miles Plumlee and rookie Solomon Hill both made a strong impression. I really liked seeing Plumlee chase down a few rebounds out of area, while Hill looked extremely comfortable on the floor in his second game.
Coach Dan Burke summed up Hill's play quite nicely.
"He was steady," said Pacers assistant coach Dan Burke who is coaching this team. "What I like about him is he has this quiet confidence and he's showing us multiple skills."
We'll see if the Summer Pacers can back up their strong performance yesterday with an early wake up call today against the Celtics and rookie centery Kelly Olynyk who has also shown promise in his first two games.
Please leave your thoughts on the game and anything else going on in and around the NBA.
