The Indiana Pacers officially announced the signings of David West and C.J. Watson on Wednesday afternoon. Bringing West back was the team's top priority this offseason, although it didn't take much effort since West re-signing with the Pacers was also his top priority, as quoted on

"This was the situation that I wanted to be in so there really wasn't much of a free agency from my perspective," West said at the news conference.

"This really was a no-brainer for me. I talked to coach and guys, and everybody knew I was going to be back here. This is an ideal situation for myself at this stage of my career. There's no other group I'd rather be a part of for the next few years than this group."

West went on to say the team was still hungry to play after being eliminated in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals and with the starting unit back their goal should be earning the top seed in the East so they make sure they have Game 7 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

C.J. Watson expressed in happiness with joining a team ready to compete for a championship and said he was willing to do whatever was needed to help out. Appears he also enjoyed getting to know Larry Bird.

The Pacers did not announce the signing of Chris Copeland since they have agreed to an offer sheet. The Knicks didn't match so now it is a matter of hammering out the details to finalize Cope's deal with the blue and gold.
