The Indiana Pacers are closing in on signing free agent point guard C.J. Watson according to Alex Kennedy from Hoopsworld. Kennedy also mentioned that he believed Watson's deal would be for two years at more than the minimum salary. Waston declined a $1.1 million option with the Brooklyn Nets so it seems safe to assume Watson will still be less expensive than the $3.5 millions shelled out for D.J. Augustin last year.
Watson's latest tweet seems to indicate Kennedy's report is spot on.

When you consider the type of player Watson is, his effectiveness in a reserve role, defensive capability and fit on the roster at the right price (presumably), this is a great move for the Pacers. The guy drove me nuts when he was with the Bulls. The team can't officially announce the signing until July 10th.
