The Indiana Pacers, at least this team as currently comprised, is in uncharted territory as they take on the Miami Heat in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals.
As much as I don't think the Pacers are ready for this next step, when you're one game away from the Finals, you're ready. As Frank Vogel said following Game 6, the Pacers will have to execute and play a near-perfect game. They haven't come close to that level of play so far in the series, but if they are on point they will have a chance to win.
David West is reportedly feeling better than he did in Game 6 when he played while trying not to hurl on the court, so that should give the Pacers a boost. The obvious numbers to watch are the Pacers rebounding advantage and points in the pain. On the negative side, they have to minimize the turnovers and Heat transition points. Those have been telling numbers all series so I don't expect it to change tonight.
What other concerns or expectations do you have for the Pacers in Game 7. GAME 7!
