The 2013 NBA Draft has been nothing through the lottery if not surprising, but local fans have had plenty of rooting interest while the Indiana Pacers await their pick at #23 when it came to the Hoosiers. Victor Oladipo was drafted second overall by the Orlando Magic while Cody Zeller found himself taken fourth by the Charlotte Bobcats. Not only is it a victory for the IU program, but it's a nice representation to have the state of Indiana brought into the forefront not only on the floor, but with the talent coming into the NBA.
As well, both players have landed themselves in prime locations to make immediate impacts. Oladipo has a great chance to be the go-to player for the Magic, his talent and skill set giving him a realistic opportunity to become the NBA's Rookie of the Year for 2013-14. For Zeller, he'll have a chance to helm the front court for the Bobcats. Both being in the Eastern Conference also means there will be 3-4 separate matchups against the Pacers, giving many Hoosier fans the chance to see their top five picks up close and personal.
