This matchup features a great battle back on the frontcourt side of the bracket. Indiana needs more help on the wing next season. Either way, Indiana either gets better on the offensive side (Karasev) or defensive side (Snell) if one of them is selected at 23. The Pacers need more versatility and depth behind Paul George next season, so adding one of these prospects makes a ton of sense next season.

Below are the usual breakdowns of both prospects from ESPN's Chad Ford and SB Nation partner, Draft Express. If you want to learn more about Snell and Karasev, pay attention to the details provided on them.

Tony Snell

Positives
  • Long, athletic two guard
  • Excellent shooter off the catch and shoot
Negatives
  • Needs to add strength
  • Needs to improve ball handling

Sergey Karasev

Positives
  • Skilled guard who can play multiple positions
  • High basketball IQ
  • Excellent passer/floor vision
  • Proficient slasher
Negatives
  • Needs to add strength
  • Just an average athlete

Snell or Karasev would be big upgrades on the wing for Indiana next season. Tony has the potential to be a lockdown defender on the wing alongside Paul George, while Karasev would give the Pacers a top-flight scorer on the perimeter. Both of these players would possibly give Indiana a future replacement to Danny Granger, while giving them a massive upgrade to the second unit. After asking a few scouts through email about these prospects, many mentioned Tony Snell with Paul George-like potential, Karasev was compared to Steve Novak a few times.

After all the analysis from ESPN's Chad Ford and Draft Express, who will advance on to the quarterfinals? Will it be Tony Snell or Sergey Karasev receiving your vote to move on in the Indy Cornrows 23rd Pick Tournament?
