Pacers Final Score: Heat pull away from Pacers 90-79, take 3-2 lead

The Indiana Pacers find themselves on the brink of elimination after a woeful second half in Game 5.

The Indiana Pacers held a halftime lead, but at just four points with the miscues the Pacers had, it was going to prove difficult to close out the Miami Heat in Game 5. When Miami rattled off a 9-10 shooting close to the third quarter en route to 16 LeBron James points in the third, the Pacers found themselves behind the eight ball. It certainly didn't help when the Pacers continued to pile up unforced and awful turnovers.

Indiana was never able to dominate the glass, could only draw 11 fouls, and had 18 turnovers that led to 22 Miami points while taking away from countless Indiana points. Indiana got 66 of their 79 points from their starting front court, with Paul George grabbing a 27 & 11 double double, but came up small with five turnovers. Roy Hibbert had 22, but just six rebounds. David West had 17, but missed a lot of gimme shots early. LeBron James was masterful in the third quarter, finished with 30 points, but got timely help from another Udonis Haslem 8-9 performance to help carry Miami to the Game 5 win.
