The Indiana Pacers stepped up defensively, holding off a late game surge by the Atlanta Hawks to grab a Game 6 victory, ending the series and advancing to face the New York Knicks. The Pacers held the Hawks to nine second quarter points as the Hawks shot under 24% in the half. Indiana extended their lead to 19 in the third quarter before the Hawks climbed back in the game late, drawing with three before Indiana held on to close it out.

David West was tremendous after a sluggish start, scoring 21 points, 17 in the second half. George Hill also had 21 with Roy Hibbert scoring a 17 & 11 double double. Al Horford led the Hawks with 15, being the catalyst for the Atlanta comeback.
