The Indiana Pacers take another swing at ending their losing streak in Atlanta, now up to 13 straight, while also trying to close out the Hawks and win the first-round playoff series. The Pacers put themselves in great position to finally end the streak and win the series with their strong defensive performance in Game 5 at home.
But winning a playoff series is much more difficult than winning a playoff game, but the Pacers should be able to sniff the sweet smell of victory and moving on in the playoffs which should keep them motivated and on point, thus avoiding a Game 3 relapse. This game is bigger than any losing streak so it is time to rise up and end it.
The Pacers will have to face a different beast in the Hawks, assuming Josh Smith won't be strapped to the bench with foul trouble. Also, Jeff Teague has been effective getting in the paint against George Hill but struggled through Game 5. Larry Drew used the off day to challenge Teague to raise his level of play, so that point guard matchup, which has been a major X-factor both ways, will be worth watching closely.
