Indiana used a strong second half to top the Hawks.

The Indiana Pacers got back on track with a comfortable victory over the Atlanta Hawks in Game 5, putting the Pacers a victory away from moving on to the next round. Indiana had a bit of a sluggish start, giving the Hawks the first quarter advantage in a back and forth game, but a big second quarter gave Indiana a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Indiana would push the game to 20 in the third quarter, holding off an Atlanta free throw fest in the quarter.

David West led the Pacers with 24 points, having his first great game of the playoffs, shooting 11-16 on the night. He was one of many solid performances from the starters. Paul George had 21 points & 10 rebounds, Roy Hibbert had 18, getting to the free throw line 14 times. George Hill had a 15 point, 10 assist double double, and Lance Stephenson grabbed a career high 12 rebounds. The Pacers defense held Atlanta under 34% shooting, holding them under 25 points each quarter.
