The Indiana Pacers hit the road to complete their season series with the Washington Wizards on Saturday night as they try to bounce back from a bad loss at home to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday.
If the Pacers can complete the season sweep of the Wizards, they will clinch the Central Division while keeping pace with the New York Knicks for the No. 2 spot in the East. The Knicks hold a 1.5 game lead in the East but have to face the Thunder on Sunday so things can change in a hurry.
Speaking of change, the Wizards don't resemble the team the Pacers beat three times earlier in the season without John Wall. The point guard has given the Wizards a positive jolt since his return in mid-January, especially at home where the Wiz are currently riding an eight-game winning streak. Overall, Washington is 23-19 since Wall's return which is a win rate that would have them in the playoffs if maintained over a full season.
The Wiz are playing the remainder of the season without rookie shooting guard Bradley Beal who had to shut it down early due to a stress fracture in his left leg.
The Pacers should be plenty surly when they take the court after getting punked by the Thunder on Friday night. Roy Hibbert was one of the lone bright spots for the Pacers and the big fella always comes out energized to play in his home town of DC.
