The Indiana Pacers close out the regular season against the Philadelphia 76ers while looking ahead to the first round of the playoffs which begin this weekend. The Pacers will rest all of their starters except Lance Stephenson, so that means David West and Roy Hibbert will not play despite their desire to get in one more regular season run before the playoffs.
With a win, the Pacers could log their sixth 50-win season as an NBA franchise, but the Sixers will have to cooperate with Indiana's reserves doing the heavy lifting. The Sixers are likely ready to put this season behind them and a loss would help improve their chances to move up in the draft order. Philly is currently tied with Portland and Toronto for the 10th worst record, so a loss keeps them in the mix for the 10th pick in the draft. Plus, coach Doug Collins has already announced he's leaving, so, yeah...feel the excitement!
It is Fan Appreciation Night at the Fieldhouse which is always great for those in attendance. Plenty of goodies and player interaction following the game.
