The Indiana Pacers have an opportunity to continue serving notice on the road and return to the Fieldhouse with a 4-0 pelt to hang after their journey out West.
The Clippers will make the Pacers earn it, though. When LAC was in Indy they ran past the Pacers for a 99-91 win at the Fieldhouse. The Clips lead the league in forcing opponent turnovers and they unearthed 20 donations from the Pacers in the last meeting. Then down the stretch when the Pacers made a run at the win, Chris Paul answered the challenged and closed down the win like the best point guard in the NBA.
So...the Pacers have to take care of the ball and limit those transition opportunities CP3 likes to lead for the Clips. The Pacers don't mind engaging in post-whistle chatter and will have a couple of equally willing instigators in Caron Butler and Matt Barnes. While CP3 and Blake Griffin are normally whining to the refs, Butlers and Barnes remain in needle mode. With Lance Stephenson, George Hill and Tyler Hansbrough, the Pacers are equally adept at looking for a comfy spot under the opponent's skin. Should add to the action if the game remains tight.
Barnes is dealing with a sprained ankle, though so his best work may have to be done from the bench. Also, Blake Griffin has been dealing a calf injury so his status is uncertain, as well. If the calf problem keeps Griffin grounded a bit more, that should help David West working in the paint on both ends.
