When the Pacers left town last Tuesday, returning home with a 2-2 record after games at Houston, Dallas, Phoenix and Los Angeles (Clippers) seemed to be a reasonable expectation.
Now in L.A. to face the Clippers, the Pacers have a chance to bring a 4-0 sweep back to the Fieldhouse against the Western Conference foes. Good thing, too since the New York Knicks haven't lost in a couple of weeks forcing the Pacers to keep winning just to remain in the hunt for the No. 2 spot in the East.
The Knicks rolled past the Boston Celtics on Sunday evening to jump percentage points back in front of the Pacers. While in the Central Division, the Chicago Bulls held off the Detroit Pistons to earn a 95-94 win and keep the Pacers magic number to clinch the division holding at three games.
The Pacers catch the Clippers coming off of losses in their last two games including a poor effort on the road in Houston on Saturday night. Both teams should be fully engaged for the late night (ET) tip tonight.
