Here are a few items on the Pacers following their off day on Monday.
- The Pacers are enjoying two nights off at home before hosting the Boston Celtics on Wednesday. On Monday night, the team took part in a soiree for season ticket holders at the Fieldhouse. Games, prizes and some bad karaoke were all part of the fun.
- The Pacers and Celtics may be playing a playoff preview on Wednesday. Were the playoffs to begin today, the two teams would square off in the first round of the playoffs. Plenty left to be decided by playoff time though since only three games separates spots four through eight in the Eastern Conference.
- Looking ahead, the Pacers play the Miami Heat on Sunday. The Heat haven't loss since the last time they played the Pacers on Feb. 1, winning their 15th consecutive game last night in Minnesota. They play Orlando and Philadelphia before hosting the Indiana, so hopefully they'll keep that streak going until the Pacers get to South Beach to take a swing at ending the streak the same way it started.
- The NBA announced the preseason plans for the Pacers to play the Rockets in Manila on Oct. 10 and also in Taipei on Oct. 13. The Pacers are one of eight teams that will play preseason games around the globe next Fall.
