The Indiana Pacers return to the Fieldhouse to host the Atlanta Hawks on Monday night in need of a win as the regular season end comes into view.

With 12 games remaining, the Pacers are in the playoffs but their spot in the standings remains in flux after going 5-5 in the last 10 games. The Pacers remain in good position in third place in the East, just percentage points and a game in the loss column behind the New York Knicks, but they really need to hold down their home court with a win against the Hawks tonight.

The next four games are on the road against Houston, Dallas, Phoenix and the Los Angeles Clippers. All winnable games, but with the Pacers on the road, all losable (is that a word?) as well. A win tonight would go a long way keeping the Pacers from sliding down a slippery slope in the East and dropping a few more spots in the standings before the season ends.

Health is a major concern for the Pacers with their bench proving unreliable at best. Fortunately, the Pacers have stepped up to adverse conditions at other times throughout the season, now they have to come together for one more surge to get through the last leg of the regular season.
