The Indiana Pacers may have stormed out to a 19-8 lead, but storm isn't exactly the best way to describe the lead they built with both them and the Los Angeles Lakers clanking their way through the first half. Both teams managed to get north of 30% by halftime, but were shooting under 25% at a point in this game. Despite the lead, the Lakers would go on a 29-6 run to take an 11-point lead of their own, but a strong close to the half drew Indiana within five.

Kobe Bryant did start tonight after being a game-time decision, going scoreless and only playing in the first quarter. Dwight Howard was unstoppable for a stretch, but was quickly out with three fouls. Roy Hibbert and Ian Mahinmi each have three for Indiana. Paul George leads Indiana with 12 points as Lance Stephenson had 10 points and eight rebounds. Antawn Jamison had 11 for the Lakers with three three pointers.
