The Indiana Pacers hit the road on Friday to try and even their season series with the Toronto Raptors. For whatever reason, under varied circumstances, the Pacers and Raptors have played three games that all went down to the wire ending in two-point victories for the road team.
The Pacers opened the season in Toronto and escaped from an ugly performance with a win courtesy of a George Hill runner in the lane. Then in mid-November, the Raptors came to Indy for the second game of a back-to-back following a triple-OT loss the night before. They ran out of gas in the fourth quarter but the Pacers offense was so bad it didn't matter and Toronto held on for a two-point win. The Raps swiped another W in their last trip to Indy in early February, this time with Rudy Gay changing the dynamic as part of the Raptors lineup. The Pacers let a fourth quarter lead slip away before losing in OT.
Now the Pacers are coming off of a tough loss at home after getting roughed up a little bit by the Los Angeles Clippers. Roy Hibbert should be fresh and ready to go after missing the game on Thursday, but the Pacers will need a better, more cohesive effort on Friday to get back to their winning ways.
